Having experimented with writing ads to try and form "THE band" for over a year now (and being disheartened by lack of positive responses), here's a sort of last resort message, before my dreams have killed me (as if, my soul is unbreakable!): Lyrics & poetry: must you strive when writing?
I'm thinking mostly of the proceeding generations to come and how I've
aspirations to create a body of work that will inspire and enlighten,
rather than be any other straggler act; just for every fucker to
continue moaning "oh, everything's so commercial these days" and "no
one's willing to take risks anymore" etc. 'cos we oppressed Brits just
love to have a good fucking moan for the sake of having a good fucking
moan. It seems to further create divisions within cultures of
divisions, and help turn days of emptiness into nights... 'til everyone
relies more on what buds they've seamlessly cultivated over the school
years than using ones own willingness to break free of conformity and
seek an individualised prophecy.
Heck, it seems like even this post-teen generation needs to be taught a
thing or two, based on my recent experience at music college... e.g. all
this dub-step nonsense; hardly "rebellious" is it, a bunch of
pre-empted computerised noises... and I'd go as far to say that it
"smothers" proper heartfelt music, for a dumbass generation of misguided souls to revel in.
Perhaps you'll realise by the time you've settled down what truly
everlasting music passed you by.
